Its administration begins 1.5 months before the expected births and continues for the next 3 weeks after birth, in a quantity that starts indicatively from 600-700gr./animal/day and increases by 100gr./animal/day for each additional week until birth. After births and up to 3 weeks after, the mixture reaches indicatively 1400-1500gr/animal/day, as long as the roughage covers the basic maintenance needs and at least 50% of the Dry Matter of the daily ration. After the third week, we enter the administration of the dairy mixture. It is supplemented with excellent quality roughage (alfalfa and grass hay, corn silage, wheat straw, etc.)

The administration of OVICARE-500 during the perinatal period helps to maintain the health of animals at optimal levels, especially in the proper formation of the mammary gland to respond to high milk production, in the minimization of metabolic and nutritional problems (toxinemia, hypocalcemia), in the proper functioning of the liver, in the production of colostrum, rich in antibodies, in the smooth start and progression towards high milk production.

The exact composition of the diet is formulated in collaboration with the scientific manager, veterinarian Konstantinos Kalaitsidis.
